I am a mixed media, participatory artist with a background in health and well-being. I am qualified to teach in the Life Long Learning Sector and I have a strong interest in environmental issues.
Art has the power to heal, free the mind and unite people and should be accessible to all.
"I believe that creativity is a force of enchantment - not entirely human in its origins." - Elizabeth Gilbert, Big Magic.
Creativity is magical. Everyone has an inner artist. I am an enabler, helping people connect to their creative energy by providing the tools, the time, and the space.
My work is inspired by nature and the cosmos. I am committed to protecting our beautiful planet and I work only with reclaimed or sustainable materials, such as natural pigments, wool, bamboo, willow, hazel, reclaimed wood, driftwood, sea glass, old jewellery, furniture, and junk.
Much of my work happens in Great Langdale, in the heart of World Heritage Site, the English Lake District, where inspiration lives and breathes in beautiful abundance. Steeped in natural history and the home of famous poets and authors such as William and Dorothy Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, inspiration is all around me.
During the winter months I am based in the North East, close to the iconic
Angel of the North, by Antony Gormley. Love it or hate it, you can't ignore it!
As well as selling my work at Artisan fairs, I deliver a wide variety of bespoke workshops, private tuition, parties, away days, and projects for all ages and abilities.
Thank you for visiting!
